LOAVES AND FISHES
One day there was a
parking lot and we stood around as the first shovel of dirt
was moved and the ground and the people were blessed. “May
the blessing of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy
Spirit remain with us and working through us help us to
accomplish this good work in Your name, Amen.” And now –wow!
Ted Girrard and his crew of volunteers have done wonders.
The framework is up and before long we will be ready to
start the process of finishing the inside and then moving
the pantry up. North Kent Services has written a grant on
behalf of their satellite pantries asking for money for a
commercial freezer. As the need for help with food
increases, the pantry board keeps looking for other ways to
get more food for less money. Your contributions are always
used. As is often, the biggest need is for jams and jellies
and canned fruit. The pantry is open two evenings a week.
Volunteers are needed so if this is your thing please see
Nancy Usher or Carli Noffsinger.
