ALL SAINTS GUILD

Are you a woman?  Do you attend Holy Spirit?  Then you are a member of the All Saints Guild!  All Saints Guild is the name of our Episcopal Church Women (ECW) service group.  We meet at 9:30 am on the first Saturday of each month for friendship, fellowship and service.  Please call the office for the location of our next meeting.

We support many aspects of Church life:  purchasing kitchen supplies, providing funeral refreshments, support for the Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry, and more.  We hold two major fundraisers each year:  a 2nd Best Sale in August (Friday & Saturday, August 24 & 25, 2012) and a Christmas Delites cookie walk, bake and craft sale before the holidays (Saturday, November 10, 2012).

For many years, the All Saints Guild has sponsored a child through Children International.

The All Saints Guild coordinates our congregation's participation in United Thank Offering (UTO), a mission outreach of the Episcopal Church.

A tradition started by the ladies of St. Matthew's in Sparta, and brought to and continued with love here at Holy Spirit, is the production of our "world famous" apple butter each fall.  Sale of the apple butter, produced with local apples and award-winning cider from Hill Brothers Orchards, usually quickly sells out at the Christmas Delites sale.  Don't miss it!

SMOKEHOUSE GANG

The Smokehouse Gang is a men's fellowship group that meets weekly on Tuesday evenings. The Smokehouse Gang is not a service organization; rather, its purpose is to provide the men of the congregation a time of friendship and fellowship.  Please contact Michael Hirt or Paul Zimmerman for more information, or see the calendar on the Calendar of Events page for details.

HEALING

Jesus told us to continue his ministry and do the things that He has done.  As such, Healing is a sacramental ministry of the church.  On most Sundays, healing prayers are available at the rear of the worship area.  Those with physical, emotional or other personal concerns are encouraged to attend the healing station for anointing and prayers during the distribution of Communion.

PASTORAL CARE

Pastoral Care involves . . . scheduling meals for someone in need . . . being a listener . . . scheduling and bringing Communion to shut-ins . . . an opportunity for healing during the service . . . a chance to bring  your pain, concerns and prayers for others . . . a moment to lift those up to God .

Please come join us as we continue to walk our journey  together in Peace . . . Hope . . . and Joy all the time reaching out to others.  Please contact Marsha Rockwell Hirt for Pastoral Care issues.
